Breakfast Wizard

The story

It is morning in the camp. There is a party of adventurers who would like to hire a breakfast wizard for their next campaign. Feast on your breakfast, feel the surge of magic in your stomach, and conjure a pile of new stuff for the adventurers. Show them you are the best breakfast wizard there is.

The concept and core gameplay

Breakfast Wizard is a game played with a real breakfast. Thus, it can be played only once per day, twice if you are a hobbit. It can be played solo or with plenty of players; the number does not matter.  In the game, you:

• Write down up to 5 breakfast items that you have in front of you, including beverages. It is advantageous to have all 5 filled. As a result, Breakfast Wizard leads to a varied and balanced breakfast.

• Roll a D6 to select 2 letters from each breakfast item. Write these letters in your Pool of letters.

• Roll a D6 on the Proficiency table to determine whether you get an extra letter (you can be proficient in harvesting extra magic from fruits, hot beverages, pastry, cereals, yoghurts, or eggs).

• Roll a D6 on the Adventurers' preferences table to know what they want to conjure (it can be weapons, tools, trinkets and treasures, clothes, animals, or perhaps they want to heal a body part).

• Write down as many words created from the Pool of letters as you can in 5 minutes. The wizard can conjure things that are solid, gaseous, or liquid.

• Score points. You score 1 point per word, 3 for a word that is among the preferences of the adventurers.

• If you have at least 20 points, you are hired. If you play with others, the best wizard gets the job.

• One D6
